Hi, I’m Naima Alam

I am an academic and an artist based in Germany, with strong ties to Bangladesh (my country of origin). I like to think of myself as a person of many traits. My  professional titles include media scholar, educator, animator, and illustrator. My research, pedagogy, and art are dedicated to enhancing learning in the digital world through storytelling.

Services: Animation workshops for students and teachers, storyboarding, art direction, and content development.

Products: 2D animation (mograph), character animation, illustration, and various social media content.


Software, I use and teach: Adobe After effects, Illustrator and Photoshop; Procreate; Canva.

In this course, BA students explore different digital media content about migration and displacement by influencers and NGOs on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. For the final project students develop their own social media content to address the topic of migration and/or displacement.
